Class Information and Signup

Sign up:To sign up for a class fill out the registration form (once per child). If the current schedule does not work for you, contact us with your child's name, age, and availability, and we will try to schedule a class that is more convenient for you.

2011-2012 Class Schedule

Each class meets once a week for 2 hours. There are a total of 32 classes during the academic year divided into 8 mini-terms with 4 classes per term (see term schedules below).

Late Enrollment and Absences

Late enrollment is often possible; parents of students who want to enroll after classes begin should contact us. Usually, we will meet with each student individually to discuss how to best catch up with an ongoing class, and we may recommend a few tutoring sessions. There is no refund for missed classes, but if possible, we will try to let a student attend an equivalent class or will try to make other arrangements.

Payments for each 4 week term are due by the day after the last class of the previous term. For example, payment for the term beginning on Thursday January 26, 2012 would be due on Friday January 20, 2012. At the end of every term, we will send an email asking parents whether their children will continue attending their current class, and if so, reminding them to make a payment. Once initial registration is complete, a confirmation email will be sent with a due date for the first payment. Students that enroll after a term has begun will not be charged for classes that they have missed.

Regular classes must have a minimum of 4 students enrolled. If only 3 students register for a class, parents can choose to withdraw their child (the unused portion of the tuition will be refunded), enroll in another class, or continue at a Small Group rate (see above). If, after classes have begun, the number of students in a class with 4 or more students drops to 3, parents can withdraw their child, enroll in another equivalent class if it is open, or continue at a discounted monthly Small Group rate of $240. When a fourth student joins a Small Group (3 students), the monthly rate drops to $200. Location

Classes are held at Center Makor which is in the school building of Temple Bnai Moshe, located at 1845 Commonwealth Avenue, Brighton, MA 02135. The entrance is at ground level, to the right of the steps leading to the main entrance. The nearest T station is Chiswick on the B branch of the Green Line. Also nearby are the Cleveland Circle (C branch of the Green Line) and Reservoir (D branch of the Green Line) T stations. Limited free parking is available in the small parking lot that is to the left of the main steps or on Commonwealth Ave.
